Customer Boot Reviews
I have owned 3 pairs of these boots and will purchase another. I wear them year round. They are comfortable all day and they are easy to run in. They keep my feet warm in the winter and cool and dry in the summer. I have only had cold feet wearing them on a few occasions when I was outside in extreme cold for several hours and not moving around much. In the summer my feet come out of them dry and cool and the boots never get smelly. My only gripe is they don't come in black.
The boot is one of my favorites for the leather quality.
As far as constraction is concerned I would like a top grain lining on the heel counter and a top grain lining under the steel toe box. The tongue cutout and resewn part in the middle creates more of a hotspot than aleviates one and really gets on my nerves.
Finally the insulating sock could be made to be removable with the incorporation of some male gripper velcro sewn on the bottom of the sock and velour velcro along the insole. In this way the boot could be used for all weather climates by alternating insulation socks with only Gore tex ones and sweat wicking thin removable insole for hot weather usage. In this way a single pair of boots becomes a modular footwear system able to withstand temperatures of -5 to 30
